Your gut is home to trillions of bacteria and other microbes - together, they’re called your microbiome. These tiny organisms help digest food, produce vitamins, fight off illness, and even influence your mood. If you are suffering with ANY digestive issues such as: bloating, gas, acid reflux, diarrhea, constipation, stomach pain, IBS or SIBO - this test is for YOU! The Standard Process microbiome test looks at your unique mix of gut bacteria and fungi, using a small stool sample. The test tells you what’s going on inside, which microbes are helping or hurting you, and how balanced your gut is. Think of your gut like a garden, this test helps you see what’s overgrowing (weeds), what’s missing (flowers), and how to fertilize it better. Based on your results, you will be provided with personalized recommendations - lifestyle changes, which foods to eat more of, which ones to avoid, and supplements.
After purchasing the test from a health care practitioner, client registers their kit online at biohmtesting.standardprocess.com/register. Using the unique Kit ID (included in each kit) and a searchable field, client registers the kit under their health care practitioner’s name.
Email verification: Please check the Promotions Folder and/or Junk Mail for the email verification email to complete the registration process.
Client follows simple instructions provided on the kit to prepare and collect their stool sample.
Client places the stool sample in the mail (USPS) by using the pre-paid return envelope provided with the kit. It is sent to the BIOHM laboratory.
The client's sample is analyzed at BIOHM’s laboratory through a process consisting of seven different stages.
After testing is completed, the Gut Report, which includes the Gut Score and Insights Report (diet, lifestyle and product recommendations), is sent to the health care professional. Your nutritionist will reach out to you to set up an appointment to go over your game plan. This usually takes about 3-4 weeks.
The client’s diet, lifestyle, and supplement changes can be tracked. Retest every 4 - 6 months to track microbiome levels over time.
